Crewing:
Cerrigydrudion is a Retained Duty System (RDS) station.

RDS firefighters are skilled individuals who do ordinary jobs and offer evening, daytime and/or weekend cover.


Geographical Area covered:
A5 from Pentrefoelas to Maerdy, Corwen.  B5105, Cerrig to Ruthin, B5401 Cerrig to Denbigh moors and the Cerrigydrudion to Bala road.


Sites of Risk:
Alwen water treatment works, residential homes, Cerrigydrudion primary school, Biofuels plant, Garages and Glan y gors go - karting track.


Station History:  
Originally part of Denbigh and Montgomeryshire, Cerrigydrudion changed to become part of Clwyd and then finally to North Wales Fire and Rescue Service in 1996.

The first purpose built fire station was built in 1961 - before that the appliance was housed in a Nissan hut behind the Marian Garage petrol station in the village.

Work in the community: 
Crews from Cerrigydrudion Fire Station attend local shows such as Cerrig Show and Sioe Hiraethog each year where it is possible for the local community to talk to crew members about their experiences within the fire and rescue service, and also provides an opportunity for the crews to gain home fire safety referrals and spread the message of fire safety in the local community.
