Fire appliances from Llandudno, Colwyn Bay and Conwy, together with an aerial ladder platform from Rhyl, were called to reports of a fire at a property at Ffordd Elisabeth, Llandudno at 13:23hrs today (Saturday 25th May).

Black smoke was reported to be coming from the windows of the two storey terraced building and crews arrived to find the first floor heavily involved in fire, with concern for four people who at that time were unaccounted for.

Firefighters entered the property using four sets of breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets and a main jet to fight the fire, and then worked to contain the spread of flames to adjacent properties.

Thankfully all those residing at this address were safely accounted for by North Wales Police.

The cause of the fire has yet to be determined. Crews are currently dampening down the fire and working to make the property structurally safe and to assess the damage.
