Rhyl Community Fire Station
Rhyl Community Fire Station – “There for you”
Rhyl Community Fire Station is a unique and exciting venue which combines a fully operational 24/7 fire station with a community centre providing meeting and training rooms for members of the public, businesses or Local Authorities to hold their meetings, training or conferences in a welcoming and truly interesting environment.
Our aim is to strengthen links with the community and businesses throughout North Wales and to raise fire safety awareness by providing fire safety advice and information. Groups with diverse interests meet at the Community Fire Station, such as photographic societies, music clubs and St. John’s Ambulance, alongside agencies and our partners such as NHS Stop Smoking Wales and Denbighshire County Council.
At a meeting in July 2007, Denbighshire County Council approved plans for the first purpose built facility of its kind in Wales.
The Community Fire Station allows the Service to become more accessible to the public, raising the profile of our community work, helping in developing partnerships with other agencies and assisting in extending our work with young people and those most in need in society.
Since opening our doors in 2008, there have been over 96,000 visitors - this averages over 1,000 visitors a month.
