Fatal house fire in Mold

At 10.25am on Sunday, January 8, 2006, North Wales Fire and Rescue Service were called to reports of a serious house fire at Broncoed Park, Mold and were informed that a woman was reported inside the building.
Two fire engines, one from Mold, the other from Buckley, were called to the scene. Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus entered the property and a hose reel was used.
On entering the property, they found the body of an elderly woman in a downstairs room.
North Wales Fire and Rescue Service and the North Wales Police are investigating the cause of the fire. However, the fire is not being treated as suspicious.
