Vehicle Fires

To reduce Vehicle Arson.

A decline in the number of deliberately set car fires has been experienced over recent years through the efforts of partnerships throughout Wales. The matter still remains a significant problem.

Abandoned vehicles, 'pool cars' and stolen vehicles are the prime targets of arsonists together with vehicles burned to commit insurance fraud. Burned vehicles within the community heighten the fear of crime, degenerate the area where they are located and pose numerous toxic and hazardous threats to Emergency Services, the Community and the Environment.
