Civil Contingencies

As a Category 1 responder, North Wales Fire and Rescue Service is required under the Civil Contingencies Act to offer advice and information to the community regarding what to do in the event of a civil emergency.

If a Civil emergency does occur, information to help the public will be stored on this page.

The Community Risk Register

The Community Risk Register is a multi agency document, designed to provide a consistent basis for emergency planning for all Category 1 responders within North Wales.

Category 1 responders include North Wales Fire and Rescue Service, The Local Authority Areas, North Wales Police, The Welsh Ambulance Service and Health Boards.

The Register identifies the type of hazards that these responders may encounter in North Wales and provides assessment of the likelihood of these risks occurring in a five-year timeframe.
